Yesterday we contacted many of our Lev Lalev donors from the Houston area and Thank G-d all of them are safe. We are continuing to pray that the waters will subside and that all of them will be able to return to their normal lives as soon as possible.
Meanwhile Israel has sent volunteers to help provide emergency assistance to relief efforts as a massive storm pummeled the city with severe flooding.
Members of the IsraAID flew to Houston, and are focusing on relief work and providing basic needs including stress relief activities and recreation for those impacted by the disaster.
They are working together with the Jewish Federation of Houston to help minimize the impact of this monstrous storm.
Not surprisingly Israel has acted quickly as they did in Haiti, Turkey, and South America over the recent past. Israel knows that every minute counts and that every human being is precious. Truly, Israel is a light onto the nations- Kedoshim Teyehu.
