Have Your Name Prayed For At The Kotel for Rosh Hashana

Another school shooting! Young innocent students dead and injured; more trauma and more pain. The mental state of shooters is so very disturbing. While there may be no single reason for these extreme acts of violence much more attention must be paid to addressing the issues of mental illness.
In Israel at Lev Lalev we give a great deal of time, energy, and resources to help our girls. We provide them with personal therapy, and we train our staff to look for signs of mental weakness. There is no substitute and no shortcuts. If we want to help our children reach adulthood as strong and vibrant people then we must address the mental fitness of everyone under our care.
Orphans, disadvantaged and abused youngsters have special challenges. Here in Israel we do not take these challenges lightly. “Healthy Living” requires much work, patience, and the necessity to build self-esteem, confidence, and joy in every girl. With your Israeli charity, prayers, and support you give our Lev Lalev girls light after their personal darkness.
We pray that school violence will stop and that children everywhere will be safe.
Thank you for being there for the girls. Your help makes a lasting and positive difference in their lives.
